Outreach tonite & tomorrow nite

Standard

Do pray for Love, A Kepala- as they present God’s love in music & drama tonight at Barker Road Methodist church, and tomorrow at St. John’s St. Margaret’s Church.

Their last 2 outdoor performances at Orchard Road has been quite well received. Praise the Lord!

Lil has been involved in A Kepala’s performances helping with the sound, mixing the vocals etc. Prior to the gigs, she’s helped with the blending of the vocals during their rehearsals. It’s been a good chance for her to stay connected with the overall ministry, and actually put her gifts and talents to good use! She’s been enjoying it a lot.. but it’s been also tiring. =)

Back to work… Yeah!

It’s back to work… it feels real good! I love my job!

frankly, the past 2 weeks have felt like the longest week in my year… =(
But thru it, I did witness God working in my heart, correcting some wrong attitudes & thinking. So i’m still glad for it.

The last 2 days of my in-camp were good as I got to connect with a few of my platoon mates, beyond the superficial level. I’m thankful for that.

I’ve invited a few of them to Christmas Service this sunday, praying that they would turn up! =)

Last week has been rather boring… lessons, revision, lessons, revision, etc. etc.

Finally on Friday we went outfield. Not that I’m super excited abt that either.. but at least it was a change in scenery, instead of just being ‘stuck’ in camp.

I’m still finding it hard to enter any meaningful conversations with these guys (many of whom I’m meeting for the 1st time this in-camp)

I’m planning to invite some of them for Christmas service at my church. Do pray that they will be open & receptive to it.

Thank you for several of you who wrote with words of encouragement after our last TGA update.
Your words and prayers meant a lot to us. =)

"Love, A Kepala"

Standard

Kepala, literally means ‘head’ in the Malay language.

So it’s with this clever word play, that our newest band came up with their name- Love, A Kepala.. meaning Love, Ahead. This acapella outfit will have four performances this Christmas, heralding the real meaning of of this season, through their unique song & skit routine. I heard they will have a ‘giant’ turkey in one of their songs.

You can catch them on Orchard road this Christmas at one of the Celebrate Christmas in Singapore
stages. I believe their first act is scheduled for December 18th.
