Here’s wishing all our dear family & friends around the world a God-blessed Christmas season. We’ve been so blessed to celebrate our first Christmas in the U.S. Our 4 months here in Orlando has been nothing short of amazing.. in light of God’s grace & mercy. It’s taught us time and again what it means to ‘lean into Him’ to depend more on Him each day. We’re thankful for the prayers of the saints (back home in Singapore) as well as many others around the world who love us, and care for us. We are indeed so blessed. So thank you dear ones who are reading this. =)
Enjoying God’s blessings through family and friends.

Stuff to really think about as we engage in VLM (Virtually-led Movements) and various digital strategies to connect and reach this online generation

Today I read about a Vatican-approved iPhone app to help keep track of sins. A friend had commented on Twitter: ‘iPhone got enough memory for our sins meh?

And I was wondering …

Will you actually get a instant reply (from God) saying, :’You’ve been forgiven.’ ??   =)

Snooze India team (Joy and John not in picture)

One of our bands, Snooze has just left for India this evening (11 Dec 2009)!

It’s been a whirlwind one-month-plus of preparation for the band, as they will be doing different kinds of programs for different campuses. The team comprises 5 CreaComm staff members (Joy, Dotz, Evon, Haiks and John Rajan) and 6 volunteers (Melvin, Michelle, Crystal, Andrew, Noel and David). They’ll be doing a total of 5 gigs in Kolkata city itself, and 2 gigs in Bhubaneswar, another city in West Bengal.

Below is our itinerary for the days ahead. We covet your prayers for them as it will be a pretty packed schedule, and quite a number of them have had a busy week just before this, at church camps, mission trips and such.

Please pray for:

  • 1. Good health, strength, and quick adjustment to the weather there
    2. Team unity, love and joy as we serve together
    3. WIsdom and discernment to make decisions, esp for team leaders Melvin and Michelle
    4. Openness to the culture there, and quick adaptation to any differences we might encounter
    5. Good communication with India CCC staff and students
    6. God to bless every campus we go to, and to use us to share His love with the students there.
    7. Spiritual Protection and alertness, safety in all our travels
    8. Faith in God’s goodness and sovereignty at all times.
    9. We’ll live out our theme verse from Zechariah 4: 6 ” Not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit.”
    10. Pray that the eyes and hearts of the Indian students will be open to know the love, grace and hope of the one true living God

Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter, I am the clay
Mold me and make me after Thy will
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord!
Have thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway.
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me!
- 19th century hymn by Adelaide A.Pollard. (verses 1 & 4)

So blessed by my team today… they surprised me with flowers for my 13th Wedding Anniversary!

I almost didn’t come into office today… cos’ I was WOO (Workin’ Outta Office) for part of the day.But I’m glad I did…

The 1st thing I noticed was that my office door was not locked.. which was kinda strange. Actually, just before that…as I walked past the CreaComm office area, Tina (our new STINTer) said ‘Hi’. She has a big smile… which I thot was rather unusual, but i didn’t think much about it.

As I stepped into the office, I was greeting but a bouquet of flowers, and a big beautiful laminated card! I said ‘Wai seh…’ Then from behind all the folks converged.. and shouted. (forgot what they shouted, but it definitely created a v.celebratory mood!)

Thanks guys..You guys are so thoughtful and so sweet…
Thks also Cly for representing the rest, and for praying for Lil & me in our marriage. (da, I really wish u were there w me too!)

On behalf of Lil, we wanna say a big ‘Thank You!’
Thanks to all the other CC staff who were in the office today, who in one way shared in the gifts (or in the surprise)

IED@SG: Engaging Our Digital World

IED@SG 2009 is an effort to mobilize the local church to join the worldwide awareness call of Internet Evangelism Day (IED). It’s learning how and what it means to engage our digital world as Christians!

New media is changing us in subtle but profound ways — the way we think, work, live, relate, and it requires us to interpret our faith as individuals and communities, as we work to be the salt and light of Christ to others.

We warmly welcome you to be part of IED@SG and discover new ways of engaging and extending church and ministry in a digital age! Come join us for a series of exciting activities on and offline (Blogging Carnival, Testimony Wall, etc.) and get your church group and friends in on the action too!

Next week, I’m going to Mumbai, India for a fact-finding and vision trip.
It will be from 16th to 21st March.

There’s a concerted effort (fr various organizations & churches) to make an impact there.
We (my co-worker John and I) were invited because of our media/short-film background to join in this ‘recce trip’.

Pray for us that we have sensitive hearts to God, and open eyes to see the needs and opportunities that are there.
Pray that God would grow our compassion for the lost through this trip.
Pray for spiritual protection, and physical safety in our travels as well.

Lillian will home with the kids. Do uphold them in prayer as well.
Joshua, Emily and Zachary can be quite a rowdy bunch… =)

Yep, it’s been a while since I last posted…
And the truth is, once u lose the momentum, it’s kinda hard to get it back.
Actually the same can be said of my exercise routine… everyday, I can feel my ‘middle’ getting rounder.. and everytime I ‘feel it’ (when I put my pants on, or sit down.. haha) I keep reminding myself that I gotta get back the routine!!

Good news is that I finally did get back to some kind of exercise… tho’ not as frequent as I’d like to. So far, it’s been a bit of roller-blading (once or max twice a week), and then cycling (1 or 2 times so far in the past 2 wks) Yes, I got myself a new bike!! Every Pasir Ris resident has gotta have a bike! And God provided a bike (a loan one for now) for Lil too. We also got bicycles for the kids.

Anyway, we’ll share more of our adventures in Pasir Ris in another post, another time.

For now, this is a simple post to ‘get back into the blogging action’. It’s true that Life has been busy busy.. but I really feel writing, and ‘documenting it’ or blogging about it should be part of it.
I’m really hoping, that this will become more consistent, and intentional…. so watch out for it. (esp. for those of you who do take time to read these posts)
