Surgery tomorrow…

Standard

We’ll need to be at Mt. Elizabeth at 7am. Josh is supposed to fast from midnight till the surgery. No food or even water till his scheduled surgery at 8am.

I’ve was quite concerned initially about this whole surgery thing, but Lil kept encouraging me not to be anxious (I sometimes worry too much!) It helped a little after I read up more about it online. The whole procedure will only take about 30mins. We’ll then wait for the GA to wear off, and he’ll be discharged.

Josh is feeling quite ok abt the whole thing. He knows he will ‘fall’ asleep and the doctor will insert a little tube in his ears etc. He’s all quite happy about it. Not much worries… for now at least. =) Thanks to many of u who asked abt him…

p.s. if u want to read more abt the surgery/procedures u can surf to:

Myringotomy is a very common procedure in US. In fact, Aaron is getting his next Wed. I understand it would be 10 mins on each ear. He had his first ear infection after a bad cold 6 weeks ago and has only recently cleared up, but bad reaction from the antibiotic and still some fluid at the back of his ear drum.

So, I understand how you feel about it, esp. the sedation. I will be praying with you guys.

Don’t be anxious… and take care.

Am praying for you. I understand how you feel when Matthew had his surgery for his broken arm about one and a half year ago. I still feel a bit shaky as I recall the agony he had gone through after a bad fall at the playground. Never ever let your children play on a monkey bar that is way too high for them!

Now I thank God that he can use his right arm normally again. Do keep us posted.

    His Peace be with you,
    Connie
