I’m requesting prayer for Joshua… His eardrums are kinda ‘sucked-in’ and there’s mucous. It’s been some months now… if it does not improve, the ENT specialist says that he might need to go for surgery to ‘clear’ the ears.

Thanksgiving: today, we went for another review.. and the doctor said to continue with the current medication (a nose spray to clear ‘blockage’), and to continually get Josh to ‘pop’ his ears. And then go for another hearing test in a month. So no surgery for now.

Please pray the the ears will heal up well by themselves without having to do any surgery! Thanks!

It’s His idea anyway!

Isaiah 41:20 says:

“That they may see and recognize
And consider and gain insight as well,
That the hand of the LORD has done this,
And the Holy One of Israel has created it.”

God’s miraculous works of ‘opening rivers in bare heights, of making the wilderness a pool of water, the dry land fountains of water’ (v.18). And of planting many varieties of fruitful plants in the desert (v.19) is for the very purpose of glorifying Himself!

Phew! thank God I made it in 12:38mins.. yes! I passed my running test, as part of my IPPT (Individual Proficiency Physical Test). I had to complete the 2.4km run in 13:00mins!!

I was completely exhausted after the run.. but felt really relieved. I would have had to do RT (Re-Training- attending physical exercises twice a week) had I not clear this test.

I’ve gotta keep fit from now on.. if not I’ll be struggling to pass again the next time. So from now on.. i’m gonna try to work in some exercise regimen to keep me fit and healthy. It’d take quite a bit of discipline.. but I guess it’s better this way. =)

An atmosphere of life change…

Standard

It’s less than 30 days.. to the proper start of ForeRunner’s Student Music Mission’s project!

Wow! it’s getting exciting.. but also very busy.
I have been trying to get time to work on my teaching sessions, sort out logistics/equipment issues (we have 2 bands this year!) track with some of the students, raise funds etc, and at the same time make sure I’m lookin’ ahead as a leader to the bigger picture of things.

It’s been a really adventurous faith journey!

As we move along.. will you pray for us. That we will keep close to the Mission and Vision that God has specifically given to us for this project.

The Ultimate Road Trip 2005

Mission: Create an atmosphere of life change
Vision: That our students will have a life-changing encounter with God. As Spirit-filled Christians, they are equipped and actively seeking opportunities to reach others.

Difficult Journeys…

Standard

Over the past week my our journey crossed path with some of my friends who has been going through very difficult journeys, and I’d like to briefly share them for you to join me in praying for them.

Fighting Myeloma
Dong as he is fondly known is like a big brother to me in so many ways. When I was only a teenager he saw my potential, believe in me, and investing his life in mine. And till this day he still treasures me just the same. I’m so thankful for him.

He’s been diagnosed with Myeloma, an incurable condition. It’s basically cancer of the blood.
It’s not been an easy journey for him and his family.. to say the least, having to go through chemotherapy and all.

He has one son, also called Joshua, and also 5yrs. You can track his journey and pray for him at:

Prematurely Birth
Our CG friends, Barns and Doris has been going through a altogether different difficult journey. Their little girl, Paige, came into this world unexpectedly last week… Doris was only in the 23rd week of pregnancy. By all standards, she was earlier than premature.

Doctors did all they could to delay the birth… the baby had to come out.

From the last news we heard… they had to do a blood transfusion.. and the baby is still fighting for survival…

He drank from the BOTTLE!!

Today, I was home takin’ care of Zach (while Lil had some time for personal retreat) and he drank from the bottle! I’m getting hysterical just saying this!!

Lil and I prayed really really hard.. that Zach would get used to the bottle.. but the last few times, it just drove me nuts trying to feed him, cos’ he simply refused…

And today, just before I put the teat in his mouth, I prayed again for a miracle! And immediately after the teat went into his mouth, he just latched on, and sucked and sucked! Within 5 mins… all 100ml or so was gone! Yippee! Praise the Lord!

This is my precious Zacky! He’s now ‘talking’.. actually more like squealing!

He’s soooo cute!! He’s 7 months now, and every morning he wakes up a happy boy, and talks to himself. He doesn’t cry, just waits patiently for me to come pick him up for milk. So precious!!! – Lil

Those are Emily’s favourite numbers – 7, 18, 14!
I don’t know how it came to be, but one fine day, she was counting from 1 and it went: ” 1, 2, … 6, 7, 18, 14!!”
…. and there was such glee on her face!

From then on, that’s the way she counts! – Lil

Yesterday i felt like my eyes were like slooshing in tears mixed with ‘sand’… my tear-ducts were literally in overdrive! On top of that, I could barely open my eyes.. the dimmest light in the room would affect me, even with my sunglasses on.

I went to bed with my googles on… to protect me fr accidentally bumping my eye.. but woke up at 4:59am.. without my googles.. it had come off. ha ha! =)

This morning, thankfully… i’m feelin so much better.

And plus… I can SEE! It’s clear.. and focussed! Wow… and I hear it’d get better by the day.

Special thanks to many of u who prayed…

Special thanks to my team.. “Guys, you not only prayed.. but called, SMS-ed encouraging words.. etc. It meant a lot to me… I really appreciate u all!”
